## Short links are easy. Managing them at scale is not.
Link shorteners often optimize for the moment a URL is created. The operational problem appears later: naming collisions, scattered ownership, campaign sprawl, unclear destinations, generic QR codes, and analytics that do not support a useful decision.

SimpURL was built around organization rather than novelty. It gives users a structured place to create custom links, group work into namespaces and campaigns, generate branded QR codes, and understand which links are actually being used.

## The decision behind SimpURL
### Constraint
Short links can outlive the campaign or placement that first used them.

### Design choice
Keep the destination and organizing details with each link, and use campaign assignment to group related links.

### Trade-off
Campaign reports follow current link assignment, so changing membership also changes which campaign contains that history.

### In practice
A link remains independently manageable, while campaign membership is an explicit part of its reporting context.

## A conceptual product flow
1. **01 — Create a short link.** Start with an HTTP or HTTPS destination and make a shareable redirect.
2. **02 — Add useful context.** Use a readable path, tags, campaign, or expiration when those controls fit the link.
3. **03 — Find it and follow activity.** Search and filter your links, then review their click history and destination.

## Frequently asked questions
### Is SimpURL a client project?
No. It is an owned SwitchCase Studios product. That distinction matters because the studio remains accountable for product choices, releases, operations, and support after launch.

### Why feature owned products as case studies?
They provide transparent evidence that SwitchCase can move from positioning and product design through production engineering and ongoing operation without a handoff.
